Introducing something you've never seen before. After months of research, here is the Museum Shell Cordovan produced by the Italian Tannery Rocado exclusively for Meermin.
These Shells are made using the exact same Shell Cordovan as our regular Shell Cordovan from Rocado Tannery (Italy)—This leather has a beautiful & deep marbled look exclusively achieved by a genuine “tamponatto a mano” finishing. With the variations of the dark and light aniline dyes it creates a stunning dimension to our shoes. This shells are their top grade, fully vegetable tanned and do have a very nice balance between supple and firm. It's beautiful smooth finish coupled with soft yet firm feel makes it a superb choice for the shoemaking.
For the first run we've selected our classic penny loafer, a very solid & versatile choice, goodyear welted on our RON last featuring a round toe & a slim shape. The apron is 100% handsewn.
Made just using the unique Museum Shell Cordovan & finished with a close channel single leather soles. A beautiful full grain calf lining & thick vegetable tanned leather insoles conform the interior. This classic pair of loafers are Goodyear Welted following traditional techniques by very skillful artisans. Our shoes are made to last & to just get better looking & more confortable over the time.

This unique material is the result of a coillaboration with our friends over at the Italian Tannery Rocado. We've been looking for a long time to develop this project and we've finally been able to get the result we were after.
Exclusively made for us—This Shell Cordovan is something unlike anything you've seen before, it's deepness and intensity in color are so unique an beatiful, at the same time the handmade tamponato finish makes every single pair truly unique on its own.

Common Fit Questions
Can I use my sneaker's size as a reference?
Goodyear Welted shoes & sneakers are made & fit quite differently. Sneaker fit is quite forgiving, whereas in a Goodyear Welted pair of shoes you'd like to have a close and adjusted feel in order to have the best and most comfortable fit.
Said that, better to compare with another pair of Goodyear Welted or dress shoes you have or have tried before.
What do you recommend if I am in between sizes?
If you're in between sizes, size up. Too tight shoes will end up resulting uncomfortable or not wearable.
Do your lasts fit all the same?
No they don't. Said that, most of our lasts are UK E width (medium/regular fit) and you most likely will be wearing the same size across many of them.

I wear a special size, can you produce a pair for me?
Sure! Most of our ready to wear production goes from size 6UK to 12UK, but if you happen to wear a smaller or larger size, we can definitely help & specially make any pair from our collection for you. Please do contact our CX Team, we'll be delighted to assist you.
I wear orthotics—Can I remove the insoles?
The answer is no, but there are a few exceptions. The leather insole is a structural part of our shoes/boots, is where the Welt & uppers are stitched through the welting process, and so it cannot be removed.
Said that, there is one exception, which is our Ultraflex System construction, which aside from the structural leather insole also comes with an additional memory foam insole on top of it. This memory foam insole can be removed easily.
